{Handmade Goods - Bridal hair pieces by Lazy Leopard}

I am a huge fan of handmade products especially
handmade bridal hair pieces.  I can spend hours and hours
scouring handmade items on Etsy.

So without further ado, we are so lucky to bring you
a brand new handmade bridal hair piece collection
that is feautured on Etsy by the incredible designer
Olivia Stackhouse of Lazy Leopard.

Up first on the blog runway is "Snowdrop".
This feathered hair piece is the ultimate way to update
a bridal veil (and I'm specifically thinking
of those of you who are wearing a vintage cage veil :) )

This detail shot of the broche is just stunning!

I love how the delicate crystal broche accent

adds so much sparkle and glam.

“Deco” would be so perfect for our Modern Chic City Bride.

Who can resist embellishments of peacock feathers
and a chic black sparkle swirl design?

I am completely obsessing over butterflies
and I am going to predict that they are here to stay!
We are starting to see them pop up in wedding cakes,
wedding favors & floral bouquets.

 "Butterfly Nouveau" would be a lovely addition
to a spring time wedding.

I adore the sweet emerald green and topaz gold
color palette and detail on this broche.

Last, but certainly not least, I’m sneaking in one more
hair piece because I love them so much…
(how many times can I say love?)
this one is "Marie Antoinette" inspired and is perfectly
suited for the bridal party
(compliments almost every season and color palette).

To see more of Lazy Leopards chic handmade hair pieces

head on over to Etsy and their Facebook page.

Love one, love them all!
Lazy Leopard is offering a 15% discount on all custom orders
 for weddings, just mention "Glam Candies" when ordering.

All custom bridal hair pieces range in price
between {$40-$50 & $20-$30} for the bridal party.

Happy shopping!

We would love to feature more handmade products!
If you would like to have a handmade product featured

We would be happy to hear from you!

{Spring 2011 - Look Book}

Many specialty retailers are debuting their Spring 2011 bridal collections.

Below are a few favorites that made our bridal fashion round-up.

All the buzz has been around BHLDN

{pronounced Beholden and is inspired by the Dutch word “to keep”},

an heirloom quality bridal line by Anthropologie, which was unveiled on Monday.

BHLDN offers more than bridal gowns {prices ranging between $600-$4000}.

The vintage inspired bridal line includes bridesmaids’ dresses, lingerie,

shoes, jewelry, cover-ups, hair adornments and accessories pieces.

Do you remember Vera Wang’s Fairy-Tale Surprise on the Oprah show?

It was a dream come true for 100 very deserving brides-to-be

as they each got to pick a wedding gown from the

Spring 2011 White by Vera Wang Collection.

The fashion show featured 11 wedding gowns {priced between $600-$1400}

designed exclusively for David’s Bridal. The entire Spring 2011

White by Vera Wang Collection is made to order and can be seen here.

We just got a peek of another favorite specialty retailer, Shopbop,

which will debut The Wedding Boutique {launch date is undisclosed}.

Lastly, we love Jennifer Behr.

The line features seductive 21st century handmade

crown headpieces {priced from $68-$975}.

{Charming Little Details}

I am constantly surprised how one simple accessory can add so much glamour and polish to any outfit…how one simple piece of jewelry has the power to evoke feelings from years past or give hope for a new beginning. Jewelry is often the gift of choice for Valentine’s Day…below are some of my favorite pieces to celebrate this day of love and friendship. Give them as gifts to your wedding party or wear them to an engagement party…you’ll be cherishing these pieces for years to come….

The above flutter heart ring from Gorjana is a beautiful rose gold ring cuff...it actually makes my heart skip a beat.

These Flora Gold Daisy Petal earrings from Alexis Bittar would add a whimsical touch to any garden wedding this Spring.

Juicy Couture offers the most amazing selection of clever charms for every girl who wants to wear her heart on her wrist...this limited edition bow and arrow charm is a dream.

Sweeten up your day with this long tiered chain necklace from Juliet & Company. It features an enameled chain and floral-crocheted silk strands. A sunny piece you will be wearing all the way through summer!

Another one of my favorites from Juliet & Company is this baby pearl knot bracelet that mixes just the right amount of class and edge to create a statement piece that would make any outfit standout.

There are so many sweet pieces to choose from that you may just have to buy them all....

{Valentine’s Day Inspiration Shoot – Sneak Peek}

We recently entered a Valentine’s Day inspiration design challenge on Best
Wedding SitesAs part of the design challenge rules, we were asked to:
·    create an intimate valentine’s day inspired tablescape for 2 with a dessert display.

·    provide a DIY downloadable template for our readers.

·    incorporate a specific color palette: red, grey and the pantone wedding color of the year honeysuckle pink.

·    And we were not to use any models.

While we co-planned the shoot from Los Angeles, we worked with an amazing team of talented vendors based in San Francisco & Denver, to create a romantic picnic setting at Crissy Field alongside the Golden Gate Bridge.
Here are a few of our favorite images from the Valentine's Day inspiration shoot that were captured by Gladys of Gladys Jem Photography in a sweet collaboration with Tara of Cut the Cake Designs/ November 7 Blog {paper design} and our {photo shoot stylist and co-planner} Jacin of Lovely Little Details who also provided all of the props & sweets.

the lovely tablescape setting, paired with pink champagne, raspberry cupcakes, a gorgeous backdrop and a sweet surprise inside the recipe box.

View the full feature on Best Wedding Sites.  Also, stay tuned for that special surprise we mentioned earlier that will be featured on the Best Wedding Sites eZine launch, coming soon!

{Sweet Little Treasures}

If you are finally getting around to some last minute shopping for your bridal items,
you may want to stick around here for a little eye candy first.

So you’ve found the perfect gown,
but did you remember to purchase something just as pretty to hang it on?

You’ll love these customizable wire bridal hangers that we found on Etsy.

Wouldn’t they make the sweetest bridesmaids gifts too?

Why not pick up 1 or 2 or 3.
One for them, one for him and one for me.

Perhaps one wrapped in a vintage doily or lace?

Could one with a few vintage buttons be more your style?

And have you envisioned this part yet?

Before you know it, your sweetest day will be here.

We're pretty sure you'll be keeping these (empty) little hangers around

for your babydolls even after your wedding has past ;)
